Moroccan Kefta Tagine

Kefta, or spiced meatballs, are often served during family gatherings and special occasions, symbolizing hospitality and warmth. In a bowl, combine ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, salt, red chilli powder, paprika, black pepper, ginger powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and chopped parsley; mix well.
Form the beef mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a golf ball.
Heat cooking oil in a tagine or heavy pot over medium heat until shimmering.
Add the meatballs to the pot, browning them on all sides for 5-7 minutes.
Remove the meatballs and set aside.
In the same pot, add grated onions and minced garlic; sauté until softened.
Stir in grated tomatoes, salt, red chilli powder, paprika, coriander powder, cumin powder, ginger powder, turmeric powder, and chopped parsley; cook for a few minutes.
Add the browned meatballs back to the pot, along with the chopped peppers and butter; stir to combine.
Cover the pot and reduce heat to low; simmer for 30-40 minutes until meatballs are cooked through.
Drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
