1

Mix ground beef, ground lamb, minced onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

2

Heat water and mix with baking soda, then add to the meat mixture and combine gently.

3

Pour the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and press flat. Refrigerate overnight.

4

The next day, cut the mixture into half-inch by two-inch pieces.

5

Heat oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and fry the pieces for 1 to 2 minutes per side in batches.

6

For the bread, mix yeast in warm water with sugar and let sit for 15 minutes until bubbles form.

7

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder. Slowly mix in the wet ingredients and knead for about 7 minutes.

8

Cover and let sit for at least 1 hour, then punch down and let sit for another hour and a half.

9

Divide the dough into three portions, roll into circles about two-thirds of an inch thick, and let rest for 15 minutes.

10

Preheat a baking stone in the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit, then slide the dough onto the stone and bake for 5 minutes.

11

Lower the heat to 300 degrees Fahrenheit and bake for another 8 minutes. Remove and cover with a towel for 10 minutes.

12

Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat, add onions and cook until golden, about 10 minutes.

13

Add garlic, paprika, flour, salt, and pepper, cooking for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.

14

Add drained lima beans, combine, and pour into a casserole dish. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes.
