1 pound ground beef (80/20)

Make the sauce using dark soy sauce (or regular soy sauce if dark is unavailable).

Brown 1 pound of ground beef (80/20) in a skillet until liquid evaporates and fat remains.

Add shallots, peppers, and garlic to the skillet with the browned beef.

Cook garlic for about 20 seconds or until fragrant before adding the sauce.

Add most of the sauce to the beef mixture, reserving some for later.
