Prepare brown pork by chopping into 5mm square chunks.

Get the other ingredients ready as shown in the picture.

Dry fry the pork chunks; if not much fat on the meat, use a little lard.

When water is gone from the meat and it's browned a little, add the chopped shrimps.

Add rock sugar and star anise.

Add five-spice powder and all the other ingredients except the boiled eggs and just half of the wine.

Cover and steam the food for about 5 minutes, then turn the heat to medium.

Add some hot water until just over the food.

Put the eggs in the pan and cover it.

Leave covered and cook for 30 minutes, turning the eggs sometimes so they absorb the flavors.

Add the other half of the wine, cover, and cook for 2 more minutes until ready to serve.
