1 teaspoon aniseed
1 teaspoon rosemary
1 teaspoon coriander
1 teaspoon basil
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 cups water
2 cups basmati rice
1 cup vegetables of choice (green pepper)

Add turkey to the cooking pot.

Season turkey with aniseed, garlic, basil, ginger, green pepper, and onions.

Transfer the mixture to a blender, add enough water, and blend until smooth.

Pour the blended mixture over the turkey, add salt and seasoning cube, and 1 tablespoon of curry powder.

Rinse the blender with water and pour that over the turkey mixture, mix evenly, cover, and cook on medium heat for 20 minutes.

Prepare the stew base by adding fresh tomatoes, two large onions, red and green peppers, garlic, ginger, bay leaves, aniseed, rosemary, coriander, and basil to a pot.

Drizzle oil over the vegetables and cook on medium heat for roughly 10 minutes until tender.

Transfer the cooked vegetables to a blender, add water, and blend until smooth.

In the same pan, add enough oil and fry tomato paste for roughly 5 minutes.

Add the blended vegetable mixture to the pan, mix well, and season with a tablespoon of curry powder, salt, and seasoning tablet to taste.

Pour in the turkey stock and mix evenly, cover, and let cook for roughly 7 minutes until oil surfaces on top.

Add basmati rice to the stew base, mix well, and cover to cook for 20 minutes on low heat.

Fluff the rice and add any vegetables of choice, mixing evenly.

Cover with parchment paper and the lid, and cook for an additional 20 minutes on low heat.

Check on the turkey, which can be baked at 180°C for 30 minutes, optionally deep-fried instead.

Plate the Jollof rice with fried plantain, turkey, and boiled eggs.
