Heat milk in the microwave for about 15 seconds until not ice cold.
Add 500 g all-purpose flour, 82 g sugar, 3/4 tsp kosher salt, 8 tbsp softened unsalted butter, and 1 egg to a mixing bowl.
Use a stand mixer with a dough hook to mix the ingredients until combined.
Add instant yeast to the mixture and knead until smooth.
Let the dough rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
Spread marzipan mixed with orange juice and zest over the dough.
Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 16 equal pieces.
Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cut side up.
Cover the buns and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake until golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.
