1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
1 medium-sized tomato, finely chopped
2 tablespoons cooking oil (We have used Olive oil)
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 cup Chopped fresh coriander leaves
Salt to taste

Soak black chana overnight or for at least 7-8 hours.

Drain and rinse the soaked black chana.

Stir in minced garlic, ginger, and green chili; cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the soaked black chana and stir well to coat with spices.

Pour in enough water to cover the chana and bring to a boil.
