Cultural Context

Originating from the Campania region of Italy, the Caprese salad is a celebration of fresh ingredients—tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil—often enjoyed in the summer months. The Caprese dip transforms this classic salad into a creamy, shareable appetizer, perfect for gatherings. Today, variations abound, with many adding ingredients like garlic or spices to enhance flavor, making it a popular choice at parties and casual get-togethers.
