1

Thinly slice the beef against the grain to less than a quarter inch thick.

2

Season the beef with coconut aminos, toasted sesame oil, fish sauce, baking soda, and arrowroot.

3

Prepare sliced garlic cloves, julienned ginger, scallions, and Thai chilies (or Serrano or Fresno chilies).

4

Slice bell peppers and set aside a large bunch of Thai basil (or sweet basil).

5

For the sauce, combine coconut aminos, fish sauce, and a little black pepper.

6

Preheat a stainless steel skillet until it's too hot to place your palm nearby (about 2 to 3 inches away).

7

Add avocado oil to the skillet for high heat cooking.

8

Sear the beef in a single layer for about 2 minutes or until the bottom becomes crisp brown, then flip and sear the other side for about 30 seconds.

9

Set the beef aside along with any pan juices.

10

In the same skillet, add more oil and the aromatics (garlic, ginger, scallions, and chilies) with two pinches of salt and sauté for about 8 to 10 seconds.

11

Add the sliced bell peppers and season with another pinch of salt, sauté for about 5 seconds.

12

Add the Thai basil and sauté for another 5 to 6 seconds.

13

Finally, add the beef and pan juices back into the skillet and give everything a quick toss.
