Welcome to Everyday Indian Cooking. Today, I'm going to show you how to make a grilled bell pepper cheese sandwich.
For the sandwich, you need 2 medium-sized onions, chopped finely, and 2 medium-sized green bell peppers, chopped finely.
Take some butter to spread on the bread; I'm using Amul butter at room temperature.
Use 4 slices of whole wheat bread; you can use white bread if you want.
Add 3 tablespoons of grated mozzarella cheese, plus some more cheese to put on top of the sandwich.
Add 1/2 teaspoon of Italian herbs mix; you can also use oregano if nothing is available.
Add 1/2 teaspoon of chaat masala and 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper to the mixture.
Mix the bell peppers, onions, cheese, and other herbs to make the stuffing for the sandwich.
You can use a combination of green, red, or orange bell peppers if you want.
Add salt to this mixture to taste and mix well.
Now, let's start making the sandwich. Spread the butter nicely on the bread.
Add the stuffing of bell peppers, onions, and cheese on one slice of bread.
Grate some cheese on top of the stuffing as I told you; you can add more or less cheese depending on how much you like.
Cover it with another slice of bread and spread butter on the outside before grilling.
Preheat the grill; make sure it's hot before putting the sandwich inside.
Put the sandwich on the grill and add some more butter on top.
Close the grill and let it cook for about 2 minutes.
Check on the sandwich; it's nicely done on both sides.
Remove it with the help of a wooden spatula and place it on the cutting board to make it easy to cut.
Let the sandwich cool down for a few seconds before cutting it into four pieces.
Serve hot grilled bell pepper cheese sandwich with some ketchup.
