For 8 gaufres, you need 100g melted butter and 375ml milk. Make sure the milk and butter mixture is lukewarm.
Add 15g fresh yeast and 10g sugar to the mixture.
Crack in 3 eggs. If you want the batter even more light and airy, separate the eggs and beat the egg whites to stiff peaks, then fold them very gently into the batter once the all-purpose flour is in.
Add 250g all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt to the mixture.
Cover the batter and let it rest for 60 minutes.
Cut strawberries or any other fruit you desire into slices or halves.
Prepare warm chocolate sauce, whipping cream, or caramel sauce as toppings if desired.
Add a little vegetable oil to the waffle iron.
Bake for 2 to 2.5 minutes on the highest temperature possible until crispy and golden brown.
Dust with icing sugar on top before serving.
