Originating from Tibet and popular in the Indian subcontinent, momos are a beloved street food. The Tiranga Momo, with its vibrant colors representing the Indian flag, adds a festive twist to the traditional dumpling. These steamed dumplings are often filled with vegetables or meat and served with spicy chutney, making them a favorite during celebrations and gatherings. Today, momos have gained global popularity, with various fillings and cooking methods adapted to local tastes.

Homemade salsa can be healthier and fresher.
Prepare the dough by mixing all-purpose flour, water, and salt until smooth; knead for 5-10 minutes.
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Finely chop cabbage, carrots, and capsicum; mix in a bowl.
Add grated ginger, minced garlic, chopped green chili, soy sauce, vegetable oil, and black pepper to the vegetables; mix well.
Divide the rested dough into three equal portions; color one portion with orange food coloring, another with green, and leave the last portion plain.
Roll out each portion into thin circles about 4-5 inches in diameter.
Place a spoonful of the vegetable filling in the center of each circle.
Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape; pinch to seal tightly.
Arrange the colored momos in a steamer, alternating colors to create a tricolor effect.
Steam the momos for about 15-20 minutes until the dough is cooked through and translucent.
Serve hot with momo chutney on the side.
