Today, cachitos are a staple in bakeries across Venezuela and have gained popularity in other Latin American countries, showcasing the region's rich baking heritage.

Create a homemade cachito mold using a cardboard roll or any hard cylindrical object, cutting it in half and shaping it like a horn, securing it with paper clips.
Cut squares of parchment paper to line the homemade mold.
In a bowl, combine 1.5 cups of flour with baking powder and 3 whole eggs, mixing with a wooden spoon until the liquid is mostly absorbed.
Knead the mixture with your hands until it forms a homogeneous, slightly sticky dough. If the dough is too dry, add a splash of water until the desired consistency is achieved.
Roll out the dough to a thickness of 0.5 to 1 cm, depending on your preference.
Cut thin strips of dough using a knife.
Line the homemade mold with a square of parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Carefully roll one strip of dough around the mold, sealing the end by pressing it against the other end of the dough.
Trim the top of the cachito with scissors and tuck any excess dough inside to maintain the shape.
Repeat the rolling process for all strips of dough in the molds.
Brush the cachitos with egg yolk for a golden finish before baking.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (or high flame for gas ovens).
Bake the cachitos for 15 minutes until golden brown.
Once baked, remove the molds and fill each cachito with your choice of filling, such as dulce de leche, pastry cream, or whipped cream, using a spoon to pack it in tightly.
Optionally, decorate with chocolate or shredded coconut.
