Chana Dal Goshat • Dehgi style mutton & Chickpeas Lentils Curry

Heat oil in a pot and fry sliced onions until golden brown.

Add minced garlic and ginger paste, and sauté until fragrant.

Stir in the coriander powder, turmeric powder, and whole spices (cinnamon stick, black cardamom, cloves).

Add the mutton meat and cook until browned.

Incorporate the chickpea lentils (chana daal) and mix well.

Add chopped tomatoes and green chillis, and cook until tomatoes soften.

Pour in water to cover the meat and lentils, and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer until the mutton is tender and the lentils are cooked through.

Finish with garam masala and fresh coriander before serving.
