Clean the goat meat using lime, vinegar, and cold water.
Scald the goat meat in a pot with salt and water for about 10 minutes, then drain the water.
In a new pot, add the goat meat with fresh water and garlic, and boil until tender.
Prepare green bananas by dicing or cutting them crosswise, and soak them in water until ready to use.
Cut yellow yam, dasheen, and other ground provisions into chunks and soak in water.
Mix flour, salt, and water to form dumpling dough, then shape into skinny dumplings called Spinners.
Add green onions, allspice, Scotch bonnet pepper, fresh thyme, and powdered seasoning to the pot.
If using soup packs, strain out the noodles before adding to the soup.
Simmer the soup for about an hour until the meat is tender, then add hard foods like green bananas, yellow yam, and pumpkin.
Once hard foods are partially cooked, add the dumplings and Irish potatoes.
Add all the flavoring ingredients and stir well.
Simmer and taste the soup, adjusting seasoning as needed.
If desired, add a little white rum for flavor before serving.
Serve the soup with meat, yam, and dumplings.
