Originating from the vibrant cuisine of Iran, Shirazi Salad is a refreshing side dish often served with grilled meats and rice. Named after the city of Shiraz, this salad celebrates the fresh produce of the region, showcasing a balance of flavors and textures. Today, it is enjoyed not only in Iran but also in various Middle Eastern cuisines, often adapted with local ingredients.

Start by taking lime juice and olive oil in a bowl.
Add dried and crushed mint, salt, and black pepper to the bowl.
Whisk all the ingredients together to make the dressing.

Small dice all the vegetables into 1/4 inch pieces.
Choose firm tomatoes such as roma tomatoes; you may squeeze out some juices if desired.

Transfer all the chopped vegetables and herbs to a salad bowl.

If you prefer a crisp salad, add the dressing just before serving.
