Coconut oil adds a unique flavor while canola is often less expensive.

Turn on the Instant Pot, push the sauté button, use high. Wait 3 minutes until the pot heats up.

Add the coconut oil, and when it melts add the popcorn.

Add 2 drops of any color food coloring to the sugar and mix together. Add Sugar to the pot, and stir around to make sure the popcorn is coated with oil and Sugar.

Put a lid on the pot, and once it 2/3rd's of the popcorn turn off the Instant Pot.

Take out the inside pot and give it a very careful shake to make sure nothing is sticking.

Once popping has stopped stir around to further distribute the food coloring.
