1.5 cups brown sugar

2 liters whole milk

Boil water in a deep pot.

Add cinnamon sticks and chocolate tablets to the boiling water and cover until the chocolate is melted.

In a bowl, mix 1 cup of maseca with approximately 2 cups of water until smooth and slightly thickened without lumps.

Reserve the maseca mixture.

Once the water mixture is boiling, add 2 liters of whole milk and stir well.

Wait for the mixture to boil again while stirring to prevent the milk from sticking to the bottom.

Add the reserved maseca mixture, brown sugar to taste, and a splash of vanilla, stirring to dissolve the sugar.

Remove the cinnamon sticks once incorporated and wait for it to boil again before turning off the heat.
