Coconut whipped cream is dairy-free and lighter.
In a pot, add 2 cups of water and 1.5 cups of sugar to make syrup and bring to a boil.
Add 1 packet of vanilla to the boiling syrup and let it cool.
In a mixing bowl, whisk 1 egg with 0.5 cups of sugar until frothy.
Add 0.5 cups of vegetable oil, 1 cup of coconut flakes, 1 cup of crushed biscuits, and 1 packet of baking powder to the egg mixture and continue mixing.
Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and smooth it out.
Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C (320°F) for 30 minutes.
For the cream, combine 1 cup of starch, 1 cup of water, 0.5 cups of sugar, and 1 packet of vanilla in a pot and stir continuously until it thickens.
Once thickened, add 1 packet of whipped cream powder and mix well.
After baking, poke small holes in the hot cake with a toothpick and pour the cooled syrup over it.
Let the cake cool down.
Spread the prepared cream over the cake and smooth it out with a spatula.
Sprinkle a generous amount of coconut flakes on top.
Refrigerate for 2-3 hours before serving.
