Cut the ends of the plantain and banana.
Remove the inner part of the pumpkin.
Boil the banana and plantain together in a pot.
Place the pumpkin in the pot to boil as well.
Turn on the stove and leave the banana, plantain, and pumpkin to boil.
Knead the flour to make the dumpling using 1.25 cups of flour and some coconut.
Sprinkle a little salt into the flour for taste and mix it with your hand.
If the dough is too sticky, add more flour and knead it well until it forms a good consistency.
Roll out the dough into dumpling shapes.
Once the dumplings are shaped, place them in the boiling water to cook.
Check the doneness of the plantain by looking for a split; if it splits, it's finished.
Check the pumpkin by inserting a knife; if it goes down easily, it's finished.
Check the banana by inserting a knife; if it goes down easily, it's finished.
Drain the water from the cooked banana and place it on a plate to cool.
Cook the dumplings for 15 to 20 minutes, keeping the pot halfway covered to prevent boiling over.
After 20 minutes, turn off the stove and remove the dumplings from the water.
Peel the plantain and slice the dumpling if desired.
Plate the dumplings and plantain, and serve with saltfish and optional vegetables like avocado or cucumbers.
