Salmon Burger

1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
4 burger buns
Lettuce leaves, for serving
Tomato slices, for serving
Red onion slices, for serving

Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium heat.

Finely chop the salmon fillet and place it in a mixing bowl.

Add breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl with the salmon.

Mix all the ingredients until well combined, being careful not to overmix.

Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.

If grilling, lightly oil the grill grates. If using a skillet, add a little oil to the pan.

Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice golden crust.

Toast the burger buns on the grill or in the skillet for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.

Assemble the burgers by placing a salmon patty on each bun, topped with lettuce, tomato, and red onion.
