2 green onions

Cut 1 pound of salmon into chunks.

Slice 2 green onions.

In a bowl, combine the salmon chunks, sliced green onions, 3/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 cup bread crumbs.

Pulse the mixture in a food processor until chunky, then remove most of it and pulse the remaining mixture until it becomes almost a puree.

Leave about a quarter of the mixture chunky for texture.

Shape the mixture into 4 burger patties.

Heat a 12-inch cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.

Spray the skillet with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Place the salmon burgers in the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until golden brown.

Flip the burgers and cook for an additional 2 minutes until they are slightly rosy in the center.
