Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce and tomato for serving

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium heat.
  2. 2Finely chop the salmon fillet and place it in a mixing bowl.
  3. 3Add breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, green onions, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and the beaten egg to the bowl with the salmon.
  4. 4Mix all the ingredients until well combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. 5Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.
  6. 6Lightly oil the grill or pan to prevent sticking.
  7. 7Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice golden brown color.
  8. 8While the patties are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  9. 9Assemble the burgers by placing a salmon patty on each bun and topping with lettuce and tomato.
  10. 10Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade salmon burgers.

Instructions

  3. 3Add breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, dill, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and red onion to the bowl with the salmon.
  4. 4Mix all the ingredients gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. 5Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  6. 6Heat olive oil in a skillet or prepare the grill for cooking.
  7. 7Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. 8Remove from heat and let them rest for a minute before serving.
  9. 9Serve the salmon burgers on buns with your choice of toppings such as lettuce, tomato, and additional dill sauce.
