Revani is a traditional Turkish semolina cake, often enjoyed during festive occasions and family gatherings. Its origins can be traced back to the Ottoman Empire, where it was a popular dessert among the sultans. The cake is soaked in a sweet syrup, giving it a moist texture and a delightful flavor. Today, Revani is cherished not only in Turkey but also in various Middle Eastern and Balkan cuisines, each with its unique twist.

Boil water, sugar, and lemon slice for 15 minutes after it starts to boil to make the sherbet.
In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, sugar, and vanilla, whisking until well mixed.
Add tangerine peel, oil, semolina, flour, and baking powder to the egg mixture and mix until combined.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
Pour the batter into a greased pyrex baking dish (36×27 cm).
Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
After removing from the oven, let it cool for 5 minutes.
Pour cold sherbet over the warm cake and let it rest for 2 hours.
