Prepare the mung bean filling by cooking the mung beans and mixing with shredded coconut and sugar, adding salt to taste.
Prepare the pandan and gac batter by mixing the ingredients for each color separately, ensuring a smooth consistency.
Steam the banana leaves for flexibility before layering the batter and filling in the steaming tray.
Pour a layer of the pandan batter into the steaming tray lined with banana leaves.
Add a layer of the mung bean filling on top of the pandan batter.
Cover with another layer of pandan batter to seal the filling.
Repeat the process with the gac batter if desired.
Steam the cake for an appropriate time until firm and cooked through.
Remove from the steamer and let cool before cutting into pieces.
Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
