Boil shrimp in 8 cups of water to create broth, then strain and reserve the broth.
Preheat a caldero (cast iron pot) over high heat.
Add anato oil to the pot and let it heat up.
Add sofrito and cook for a few seconds without burning it.
Add tomato sauce and mix with the sofrito.
Add enough broth to cover the shrimp, then add 2 and 1/4 cups of broth to the pot.
Add sea salt to taste and mix well.
Bring to a boil, then add 2 cups of rice and mix.
Reduce heat to medium and cover the pot, cooking for about 10-12 minutes.
Stir gently to prevent sticking, using a lift and drop technique.
