Start by gathering all the ingredients needed for the dish.
Peel the green bananas by cutting off the top and bottom, then slicing the skin down the edge and placing them in boiling water.
Alternatively, peel the bananas completely before boiling them in water.
Prepare the dumplings by mixing 2 cups of flour with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and adding water to form a dough.
Shape the dumpling dough into small circles and drop them into boiling water.
Rinse the salt fish thoroughly to remove excess salt, then boil it in fresh water for 10-15 minutes.
After boiling, change the water and boil the salt fish two more times to ensure all the salt is removed.
Flake the boiled salt fish into small pieces and set aside.
In a skillet, heat some cooking oil and sauté chopped onion, green pepper, and tomato for about 5 minutes.
Add vinegar to the sautéed vegetables, then stir in the butter beans and season with black pepper and no MSG seasoning.
Add the flaked salt fish to the skillet and mix everything together, cooking for another 10-15 minutes until well combined.
Once the green bananas are cooked, peel off the skin and serve alongside the salt fish and butter beans with dumplings.
