½ cup Fresh Turmeric Root
½ cup Fresh Ginger Root
5 cups water
1 Lemon juiced
Sweetener to taste: raw local honey, maple syrup, or coconut sugar

Wash and scrub the turmeric and ginger.

Peel or scrap the turmeric and the ginger.

Slice the turmeric or garlic into 1 inch slices or pound it in a mortar and pestle.

Add water, turmeric and ginger in a pot and simmer for 20 minutes.

Take off the heat and add the juice of the lemon.

Add your sweetener of choice.
