Place a pan on the stove and heat 5 tablespoons of oil until hot.

Add chopped onions and green chili to the pan and sauté until the onions are translucent.

Once the onions are cooked, add the chopped broad beans and stir well, then cover the pan.

Let it cook for 1-3 minutes with the lid on to steam the broad beans.

After 2-3 minutes, remove the lid and check the broad beans; they should be cooked in the oil.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder, salt to taste, and 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder to the pan and stir well.

Once mixed, add the pureed tomatoes to the pan and stir.

Add 1/4 cup of water to the mixture and stir again, then cover the pan and let it cook for another 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes, remove the lid and add curry leaves and chopped cilantro, then stir well.

Turn off the stove and serve the curry in a separate bowl.
