In a large bowl, mix 4 cups of flour, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
In a separate bowl, dissolve 2 tablespoons of yeast in 1 cup of warm water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
Add 1 cup of plant-based milk, 2 eggs, and 1/2 cup of melted vegan butter to the yeast mixture and stir to combine.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a cloth; let rise in a warm place until doubled, which takes about 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a round loaf.
Place the shaped dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush the top with a mixture of 1 beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack before slicing.
