Melt 50 grams of butter off camera.
Heat 500 milliliters of milk until barely warm to the touch.
Add 3 tablespoons of sugar, 1 packet of active dry yeast, and a pinch of salt to the warm milk and stir well.
Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes until the yeast is active and bubbling on top.
Beat 3 medium eggs and add them to the milk mixture along with the melted butter, stirring well to combine.
Add 1 teaspoon of baking powder to the flour and whisk it together lightly.
Sift the flour mixture into the milk mixture while stirring to achieve a thick batter, similar to sour cream.
If the batter is too thin, add more flour until it reaches the desired consistency.
Cover the batter and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until it doubles in size.
Heat a pan with a little oil over medium-low heat.
Spoon the batter into the pan, cooking until golden brown on both sides, flipping when necessary.
Plate 4 pancakes and serve with sour cream and sour cherry jam.
