5 lb bag of potatoes

Boil and rice some of the potatoes.

Grate the rest of the potatoes and squeeze out moisture, keeping some of the starch water.

Add dried potato starch to the grated potatoes to firm the dough and form a dough ball.

Mix together ground pork, ground beef, chopped onion, 1 egg, salt, and pepper for the meat filling.

Take 1 cup of the dough and add the meat mixture to it.

In boiling water, add salt and cornstarch, then cook the dumplings for 25 minutes.

For the gravy, start with bacon, add chopped onion, and finish with sour cream, salt, pepper, and milk.
