Pour in vegetable broth and add soaked beans and bay leaf.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30-40 minutes until beans are tender.
Stir in chopped cabbage and smoked sausage; cook for an additional 10 minutes.
Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika to taste.
Remove bay leaf before serving.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
