Add 1 tablespoon yeast, 1 tablespoon cornflour, and 1 teaspoon salt to a mixing bowl.

After 1 hour, preheat oil in a kadhai (deep pot) over medium heat.

Scoop 1 teaspoon of batter and drop it into the hot oil using another teaspoon.

Fry until golden brown, turning occasionally for even color.

Once golden brown on both sides, remove from the oil and place in a strainer.

Top the fried Luqaimaat with dates syrup before serving.
