1

In a bowl, add 2 cups of flour, 3 teaspoons of corn flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of yeast.

2

Gradually mix in warm water to avoid lumps until the batter reaches the desired consistency.

3

Let the batter rest for 30 minutes to activate the yeast.

4

While the batter rests, prepare the syrup by adding sugar and water to a pot on the stove.

5

Add lemon juice to the pot and cook until it thickens, then add rose water and remove from heat to cool.

6

Once the batter is ready, heat oil in a pan until hot.

7

Using your hands, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil. Alternatively, use a piping bag if preferred.

8

The dumplings will rise to the surface and become round as they cook.

9

Fry until golden brown, then remove from oil.

10

If you prefer sweeter dumplings, dip them in the syrup for one minute; otherwise, serve them on a platter and pour syrup over them.

11

Decorate with sesame seeds and serve warm.
