Layer chopped onions in the bottom of the slow cooker.

Add the corned beef brisket on top of the onions.

Pour in 4 cups of chicken broth.

Sprinkle in the pickling spice packet from the brisket.

Add 0.5 tablespoons of crushed red pepper and 4 cloves of roughly chopped garlic.

Add 3 tablespoons of worcestershire sauce and 4 bay leaves.

Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.

After 4 hours, add in the potatoes and cook for 1 hour.

After 1 hour, add in the carrots and cover.

Prepare the cabbage by removing the outer layer, cutting it in half, and then into wedges.

Rinse the cabbage wedges to remove dirt.

After 6 hours of cooking, add the cabbage to the slow cooker and cover.

Cook for an additional 2 hours, totaling about 8 hours and 30 minutes of cooking.
