Heat 1 to 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot over high heat.

Add kielbasa bits and cook until browned and crispy; remove with a slotted spoon.

Pour in broth and water; add seasonings except for salt and pepper; bring to a boil.

Add sauerkraut, beans, and half of the reserved kielbasa bits; cover and simmer for another 15 minutes.
