Add 4 quarts of water to a large pot.

Break parsley into small pieces and add it to the pot (including stems if desired).

Take the pot to the stove and bring it to a boil on high heat.

Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium or medium-low and simmer for 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes of simmering, turn off the heat and let it infuse for another 10 minutes.
