YEASTED WAFFLES (3 Brunch-Ready Recipes: Buttered, Sweet, & Savory)

Instructions
- 1Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 2In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- 3In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- 4Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- 5Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or a little melted butter.
- 6Pour the appropriate amount of batter onto the preheated waffle iron (usually about 1/2 to 3/4 cup, depending on the size of your iron).
- 7Close the lid and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually about 5 minutes, until the waffles are golden brown.
- 8Carefully remove the waffles and keep them warm in a low oven while you repeat with the remaining batter.
- 9Serve the waffles warm with additional butter and syrup, or your favorite toppings.

Instructions

- 2In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt for the waffles.
- 3In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- 4Preheat a waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. Pour the batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes. Repeat with the remaining batter.
- 5While the waffles are cooking, prepare the cheesecake whipped cream. In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- 6Add the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the whipped cream. Continue to beat until stiff peaks form and the mixture is well combined.
- 7To serve, place a waffle on a plate, top with a generous spoonful of berry compote, and dollop with cheesecake whipped cream.
