½ cup basmati rice (100 gms)
¼ cup tuvar dal (50 gm)
3 cup water
salt (according to your taste)
¼ tsp haldi
1 tsp ghee
1 cinnamon stick
1 bay leaf
3 cloves
3 green cardamoms
2 black cardamoms
3 tbs ghee (for tadka)
3 tsp oil
¼ cup cashewnuts
2 tbs peanuts
1 tsp mustard seeds
¼ tsp hing
3 tbs sambhar masala
some curry leaves
¼ tsp haldi (for tadka)
1 tbs red chilli powder
salt (according to your taste)
1 tbs aamchur powder or pulp of imli
¼ cup beans
¼ cup green peas
½ cup capsicum
⅓ cup tomato
¼ cup raw banana
some Coriander leaves

Rinse the basmati rice and tuvar dal together and soak them for a short time.

In a pot, add the soaked rice and dal, along with 3 cups of water, salt, haldi, ghee, cinnamon stick, bay leaf, cloves, green cardamoms, and black cardamoms.

Cook the mixture until the rice and dal are soft and well combined.

In a separate pan, heat ghee and oil for the tadka.

Add cashewnuts, peanuts, mustard seeds, and hing to the hot oil and sauté until fragrant.

Add sambhar masala, curry leaves, haldi, red chilli powder, aamchur powder, beans, green peas, capsicum, tomato, and raw banana to the tadka and cook until the vegetables are tender.

Combine the cooked rice and dal mixture with the tadka and mix well.

Garnish with coriander leaves before serving.
