Peel the over ripe plantains and cut them into pieces.
Pound the plantains in a mortar until smooth.
Transfer the pounded plantains to a mixing bowl.
Grind the mixture further using a tapoli to make it smoother.
Add corn flour (or cassava flour) to the mixture and mix well.
Add blended pepper, onions, and cloves to the mixture and mix thoroughly.
Add palm nut juice to the mixture and salt to taste, mixing everything well.
Prepare plantain leaves by laying them on fire to soften them.
Wash and tear the plantain leaves to form a bowl shape in a cast iron pot.
Pour the mixture into the plantain leaf bowl.
Add roasted groundnuts to the mixture and mix well.
Cover the mixture with plantain leaves.
Add a little water around the bowl to help with steaming.
Cook on low flame, placing some fire on top of the plantain leaves for even cooking.
