Flatten each dough portion and place a filling portion in the center.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place the shaped mooncakes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush the tops with egg wash for a golden finish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool on a wire rack.
Let the mooncakes rest for at least 24 hours before serving for the best flavor.
