Their light, airy texture and sweet flavor make them a favorite among both children and adults. In modern times, meringues have found their way into various desserts and are popular worldwide, often customized with flavors and colors.

Lemon juice can stabilize egg whites similarly.
Preheat your oven to 225°F (110°C).
Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
Whip the egg whites in a mixing bowl until foamy.
Add the cream of tartar and continue whipping.
Add the vanilla extract and granulated sugar (packed down) while mixing until stiff peaks form.
Spoon or pipe the meringue onto the prepared baking sheets in desired shapes, noting that bigger clumps will take longer to bake.
Bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours and 40 minutes, checking for hardness to achieve desired consistency.
After baking, leave the meringues in the oven to cool down slowly to prevent cracking from temperature change.
Once cooled, remove the meringues from the oven and inspect them.
