Vegetable broth maintains flavor with fewer calories.
Transfer garlic, ginger, green chillies, salt, and lemon pepper pieces in a mortar and crush coarsely with the help of a pestle.
Add dried bamboo shoots. Tear bankoban leaves roughly and add. Continue to crush.
Sprinkle salt on fish. Drizzle mustard oil and mix well. Apply the crushed mixture on both sides of fish pieces.
Heat sufficient water in a steamer.
Wrap the fish pieces in banana leaves. Arrange in steamer basket and steam for 15-20 minutes.
Serve hot.
