Mix wheat flour and salt in a bowl.
Add water gradually and knead into a soft dough.
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls.
Roll each ball into a thin circle on a floured surface using extra wheat flour for dusting.
Spread oil on the surface of the rolled dough.
Fold the circle into a spiral shape and flatten it again into a circle.
Heat a skillet over medium heat until hot.
Place the parotta on the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Brush with oil while cooking for added flavor.
Repeat with remaining dough balls.
Serve hot with curry or chutney.
