1

Boil a large pot of water.

2

Add 1 large cardamom, 3 green cardamoms, 3-4 cloves, and a stick of cinnamon to the boiling water.

3

Add about 1 tablespoon of ghee to the boiling water.

4

Mix in 600 grams of rice that has been soaked in water for 15 minutes.

5

Add 1/2 teaspoon of zarda color to the boiling water and mix well.

6

Boil for about 3-4 minutes before adding the rice.

7

Boil the rice until it's about 70% cooked.

8

In a separate pan, heat some oil and add 400 grams of sugar, mixing until it starts to melt for 2-3 minutes on medium-low heat.

9

Add 1/4 cup of milk to the melted sugar and stir continuously for 3-4 minutes until it thickens and bubbles form.

10

Add 3-4 green cardamoms to the mixture for fragrance.

11

Once the mixture is thickened, add dry fruits (almonds and finely chopped coconut) and cook for another 2-3 minutes while stirring.

12

Add the boiled rice to the sugar mixture and mix gently.

13

Lower the flame and cover the pot, allowing it to steam for about 3 minutes to prevent the rice from becoming rubbery.

14

Cover the pot with a cloth and place the lid on top, letting it steam for 15 minutes.

15

After 15 minutes, turn off the heat and sprinkle red and green ashrafi murabba on top before mixing gently.
