Originating from Tibet, momos have become a popular street food in India, especially in regions like Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. These dumplings are often filled with vegetables or meat and are steamed or fried. The crispy, fried version known as Kurkure Momos has gained popularity for its crunchy texture and is often served with spicy chutneys. Today, momos are enjoyed across India and have inspired various creative fillings and cooking methods.

Add 1 cup all-purpose flour to a mixing bowl.

Add a pinch of salt to the flour.

Gradually add warm water to the flour to make a soft and smooth dough.

Once the dough is ready, add a little oil and massage it well.

In the meantime, heat a pan and add 1 tablespoon of oil.

Add chopped garlic to the pan and sauté until browned.

Add chopped ginger and 1 large chopped onion to the pan; cook until they start to turn golden brown.

Crush 1.5 cups of corn using a mixer or chop it finely.

Add the crushed corn to the pan along with salt and black pepper powder.

Mix everything well and let the mixture cool down.

Once cooled, add chopped onion and grated cheese to the corn mixture and mix well.

Divide the rested dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin circle.
