This Desi Style Bruschetta combines traditional Italian toasting techniques with vibrant Indian flavors, making it a popular appetizer at gatherings. The use of fresh tomatoes, spices, and herbs reflects the Indian palate, making it a fusion dish that celebrates both cultures. Today, variations of this dish can be found in many Indian restaurants, showcasing the global influence of culinary traditions.

Chop 2 medium tomatoes finely and add to a bowl.
Add 2 tbsp fresh chopped coriander to the bowl.
Add 0.5 tsp chili flakes to the mixture.
Mince 4-5 cloves of garlic and add to the bowl.
Add a few drops of lemon juice and salt to the mixture.
Add 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil and mix well.
Slice 150 grams of French bread (or use regular bread slices cut into triangles).
In a bowl, mix 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil with a little salt and 4 cloves of minced garlic.
Apply the garlic oil to one side of the bread slices.
Heat a tawa and place the coated side of the bread down on it, keeping the flame low.
Toast the bread slices, gently pressing with a spatula for even cooking.
Flip the bread slices and place a small amount of processed cheese on top to melt.
Once the cheese melts, remove the bread slices from the tawa and serve on a plate.
Top each slice with the tomato mixture just before serving.
