Cut the puff pastry into squares, about 4x4 inches.

In a bowl, mix cream cheese until smooth.

Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.

Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to form a pocket, sealing the edges with a fork.

Beat an egg and brush it over the top of each pastry for a golden finish.

Arrange the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
