Beef Gyro

1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
4 pita breads
1 cup tzatziki sauce
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 large tomato, diced
1/2 cup lettuce, shredded
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp olive oil

In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with olive oil, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.

While the beef is cooking, prepare the pita breads by warming them in a separate skillet or oven for a few minutes until soft.

Once the beef is cooked, remove it from the heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes.

To assemble the gyros, place a portion of the cooked beef in the center of each pita bread.

Top the beef with sliced onions, diced tomatoes, and shredded lettuce.

Drizzle tzatziki sauce generously over the top of the fillings.

Fold the pita over the fillings and serve immediately.
